We now offer two incinerator types, both similar in appearance, but the smaller ones use features that we have developed in the WEDGE stove, which give a more efficient burn, specifically for internal use.

THE WEDGE INCINERATOR

We simply scale up our domestic 'Wedge' stove, to outputs of either 50 or 75 kilowatts. This condenses the width of our larger external incinerators, so that the door will not smoke too much when loading. And by incorporating out 'split baffle' we get a more efficient burn, while making for extra radiant heat to space. These features may not be as important for using outside, where the incinerator has more of a waste disposal function. For inside use, however, efficiency and compactness become more of an issue.

We can also supply it as a hi-output boiler .... again, we simply scale up the Wedge boiler; a highly efficient design which puts approximately 80% of the output to water ... enough to run vast amounts of central heating.

OUTDOOR INCINERATORS

Based on the shape of our DEVIL and WEDGE stoves, with the firebox tilted up at 45 degrees, these are designed to burn a variety of organic waste at much higher temperatures than ordinary 'open' incinerators. An enormous counter-sprung door drops downwards for easy loading, and a long 'spiked' grate allows for external riddling.

We make these to order in 4 basic sizes, from 0.3 cubic metres up to 4 cubic metres. We do emphasise that they are not designed to burn more than 50kgs an hour, thus keeping below the outputs that require the various requirements of local and environmental regulations. We recommend that advice of the local authority is sought before purchase, as we are not as yet in a position to offer accreditation on these units.

Like our stoves, these are of all steel construction, using gauges of either 8 or 10mm for the bodies. For internal use, a smaller loading door is recommended, to lessen smoking-back when opening.

large 'saddle' boilers can be fitted, to produce up to 25% of the heat output to water, e.g. to put central heating either into workshop space, or to nearby dwellings

a spark arrestor needs to be fitted to the top of the chimney, if much paper or cardboard is to be burnt
